5 Days in Seychelles: A Slice of Paradise You’ll Never Forget

When I think of the perfect escape, Seychelles always comes to mind. Day 1: Touchdown in Eden

The flight from Entebbe was smooth, and as we descended, the blue hues of the ocean blending into the white-sand shores of Mahé Island were a preview of the beauty to come. We were warmly welcomed at the airport and transferred to our beachfront hotel. That evening, a quiet walk along Beau Vallon Beach set the tone peaceful waves, soft sand, and a golden sunset.

Day 2: Island Hopping to Praslin & La Digue

After breakfast, we boarded a ferry to Praslin, home to the famous Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we saw the legendary Coco de Mer palm and exotic birds. Later, we explored La Digue, where time slows down. With no cars, we rode bicycles past granite boulders to Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most photographed beaches in the world. Pure magic.

Day 3: Snorkeling & Ocean Adventure

We spent this day on a catamaran cruise around the marine parks of Sainte Anne and Moyenne Islands. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters revealed colorful corals and curious fish swimming inches away. A grilled seafood lunch was served on board, and we ended the trip with a dip in a natural lagoon.

Day 4: Culture, Cuisine & Creole Charm

We dedicated this day to exploring Mahé Island. A local guide took us through Victoria one of the world’s smallest capitals with stops at the colorful market, the Clock Tower, and the Hindu Temple. We had lunch at a Creole restaurant, tasting fresh grilled fish, coconut curry, and banana desserts. In the evening, we relaxed at the hotel, listening to live Sega music under the stars.

Day 5: Sunrise Reflections & Farewell

On our last day, I woke early to watch the sunrise over the Indian Ocean. It was peaceful, warm, and emotional. Seychelles isn’t just about beautiful views it’s about feeling present, recharged, and grateful. As we headed to the airport, I knew this wasn’t goodbye it was “see you again.”
